Python/JS Engineer (Senior/Lead) ID29903

• What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Python-based backend systems and APIs;
• Architect scalable and maintainable systems to support high-availability applications;
• Refactor legacy libraries and upgrade key dependencies (e.g., pandas, numpy, scipy, python, MongoDB, PostgreSQL);
• Optimize system performance by rewriting slow procedural code using best practices;
• Offload work across cloud services using HPC techniques;
• Implement concurrency using multiprocessing and asyncio where possible;
• Rewrite critical procedures in Rust when appropriate;
• Improve cloud provisioning and infrastructure as code (Terraform);
• Develop self-healing and automation strategies for scaling;
• Integrate and optimize Generative AI capabilities (local: Ollama/Docker, cloud: AWS Bedrock);
• Support API and frontend integration for chat, streaming responses, and code generation;
• Collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and frontend teams to align development efforts with business objectives;
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, conducting code reviews and promoting best coding practices;
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.

• Must haves

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience;
• Strong experience with frameworks like Django or Flask;
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and implementation;
• Proficiency in working with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB;
• Experience leading teams or projects with excellent mentorship skills;
• Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset;
• Familiarity with shell scripting (sh/bash/zsh).

• Nice to Haves

• Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript experience;
• Experience with Rust, Go, or Cython;
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform);
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes);
• Exposure to data engineering tools like Pandas, NumPy, Apache Airflow;
• Experience with HPC techniques, concurrency models, and performance optimization;
• Experience integrating GenAI technologies and fine-tuning models.
