PHP Engineer (Senior) ID35192

• What you will do

• Support and maintain an existing PHP/Symfony backend application;
• Collaborate with the mobile development team to design and implement new features and API endpoints;
• Contribute to and help maintain an existing Kotlin API;
• Improve and refactor existing code where necessary, with a focus on performance and maintainability;
• Keep the codebase clean and maintainable by setting up the right tools and processes;
• Document APIs, system components, and technical decisions to support ongoing development;
• Work with DevOps and cloud infrastructure as needed (Docker, AWS);
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements and proactively address them.

• Must haves

• 5+ years of experience with PHP;
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API integration;
• Solid experience with MySQL and database design;
• Hands-on experience with Docker;
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and services;
• Experience supporting mobile applications from the backend side;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

• Nice to haves

• Experience with Symfony framework (currently using Symfony 4);
• Familiarity with Stripe API or general payment integrations;
• Understanding of Redis and caching strategies;
• Experience with Kotlin;
• Experience implementing CI/CD best practices;
• Experience working with legacy codebases and improving them over time.
