Embedded App Developer

The DTNA Connectivity Services Group, North America team is looking for a senior internet-of-things software engineer to participate in the design and development of mobile Android and embedded applications that facilitate the data flow and integration of our on-board vehicle telemetry systems. Qualified candidates have working experience with the Java Platform, Micro Edition (Java ME) framework and/or Android app development in a limited resource capacity environment.

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or at least 10 years recent related experience
• Java, Java ME development for embedded applications (3 years)
• IoT connectivity development (3 years)
• Demonstrated ability to develop software using modern design patterns
• Demonstrated ability to develop and support modern deployment pipelines
• Relational Database Design and Development (3 years)
• NoSQL Database/Table Design and Development (3 years)
• Microservice design and development with kubernetes
• Android development experience with Kotlin programming language
• Mobile app development for limited resource environments
• Advanced experience with linux administration
• Domain Driven Design and Development
• Cloud Service Development with Azure
• Code Quality, Static Analysis, and Test Automation
• Fluency with UML design
