JavaScript Engineer

We’re looking for a talented and results-oriented JavaScript engineer. The Cardlytics Bank Engineering team is building a highly functioning team that will ensure our banks have a smooth experience adding the Cardlytics cashback rewards to their mobile and web apps.

You will play a major role in building our cash-back features and the highly scalable platform that serves cash-back rewards to hundreds of millions of customers.

About the Client

Cardlytics is an advertising platform in banks’ digital channels. We partner with financial institutions to run their banking rewards programs that promote customer loyalty and deepen banking relationships. In turn, we have a secure view into where and when consumers are spending their money. We use these insights to help marketers identify, reach, and influence likely buyers at scale, as well as measure the true sales impact of marketing campaigns.At Cardlytics, we are analysts, developers, and data scientists. We are marketers, account managers, and consultants to our clients. We are all focused on making sense of the data we see to make it informative and actionable for our partners.

Requirements

• 1+ years of Node.js experience
• 1+ years of SQL experience
• 1+ years experience with AWS hosted application
• Experience with AWS lambdas, Kinesis, SQS, Dynamo, RDS
• S3, Serverless, Terraform is a plus
• Some UI knowledge (JS, React, Vue, Angular) is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit agile team “Hustler” mindset & strong feeling of ownership

• Analyze product requirements and take a major part in designing the software at a high and detailed level
• Maintain and instill high standards for code quality, application performance, and stability
• Collaborate with the Product & Engineering team to understand our users and their needs
• Ask the right questions and think deeply about building solutions that support both our short-term and long-term goals
• Maintain the development documentation
