Lead Software Engineer

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in software development
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Significant practical experience with either:
  • • React (ideally 4+ years), HTML, CSS.  
    • Java (ideally 4+ years) [is a plus]
• Knowledge and practical experience with:

• • • Practical experience with Redux
    • Unit testing development 
    • Javascript experience
    • Java knowledge [is a plus]
    • Experience with Git and pull requests
    • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
    • Strong UI debugging skills
    • Experience with WCAG standards for Accessibility remediation is a plus

• Takes the initiative to ask questions, identify new bugs, test cross-device/cross-platform, etc.
• Team Management and direct client interaction experience
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Upper-Intermediate English

Responsibilities

• Audit existing products for accessibility issues that need to be remediated and provide the fixes needed to be compliant with WCAG standards.
• Work alongside other engineers on a product team to build and improve user experience.
• Continually improve code quality, performance and reliability in your product.
• Write automated tests that call out to the tools used for audit.
• Analyze challenging problems and successfully deliver results.
• Testing the project deliverables and being responsible for the work produced.
