Sentral is looking for a Senior / Middle Golang engineer to join their team that develops this innovative platform, which aims to change the way we think about homes, travel and work.

About the Project

Sentral network of urban residential communities establishes a new category in flexible living that redefines the way people live, travel, and work. This new category, called Home+, combines the comforts of home with the adventure of travel. Offering both designer furnished and unfurnished homes with flexible lengths of stay, Sentral enables residents to live or visit stylish buildings in the nation’s most coveted cities for any period of time, whether a night, a month, or multiple years. Qualifying residents can also monetize their homes through Sentral’s managed homeshare program, enabling them to offset 25 percent or more of their total rent while they travel and explore the world.

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years of industry experience
• Proficient in GOLANG
• Excellent grasp of software architecture and design
• Experience in reverse engineering tools
• Good/Excellent grasp of microservices-based architectures
• Good/Excellent understanding of code optimization for performance and scalability
• Good Excellent understanding of Linux system internals and administration
• Good understanding of Docker Containers and Kubernetes
• Experienced deploying and life cycle management of platform services on public cloud infrastructure like AWS Cloud, Google Cloud, or Azure Cloud
• Good spoken English and strong teamwork skills

Nice to have

• Strong Automation mindset
• Experience with shell scripting and python a plus
• Experience with CI/CD development practices
• Experience with Heroku
• Experience with Erlang (Elixir & Phoenix Framework)

Responsibilities

• Be part of the small team that’s developing multi-cloud platform services
• Work in a startup-like environment and execute projects with full autonomy
• Design and implement tools for performance benchmarking
• Build and maintain automation frameworks to execute developer written tests in private and public cloud environments
• Develop a deeper understanding of the Product’s Cloud Services to enable rapid development of product tooling
• Explore and onboard best of breed tools to solve given process and automation problems
