QA Engineer

TRUX is looking for a passionate and talented Senior/Lead QA Engineer to work with Engineering, Product Development and Customer Support to refine existing quality processes and develop new product testing and quality processes as needed for emerging products. What you will do:

• Work with product managers, stakeholders and customer-facing teams to gather and verify requirements for test scenarios that match customer use cases
• Be a principal stakeholder throughout development, ensuring all work is clearly-defined & testable and detailed test plans are documented using story acceptance criteria
• Proactively communicate concerns and risks to Engineering and Product leaders
• Perform automated and manual testing across the company’s web and mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
• Lead and execute test efforts during all stages of development cycles
• Assess overall product quality approach. Plan, execute, monitor and validate testing processes.
• Work with customer-facing teams providing support to reproducing issues and gathering as much detail as possible to hand off to the appropriate engineering teams.
• Communicate effectively with users, other technical teams, and management to review requirements, describe software product features, test plans and product strategy
• Perform QA testing per the test documentation including regression testing, system testing, and black box testing of new applications and enhancements/modifications of existing applications; update test documentation with information gathered during QA testing
• Able to scope testing effectively, balancing testing requirements against product release schedules

Our team is missing someone who has

• 5+ years experience in software testing (including mobile applications)
• 2+ years of test automation experience for a web based product with experience with Java and Selenium
• Experience on manual and test automation experience for a mobile-based product with Appium or willingness to learn
• 2+ years in an Agile development environment
• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
• Experience with UI and API automated testing frameworks
• Hands-on ability to automate repeated tasks and build test coverage through existing or new infrastructure
• Results oriented, product focused with excellent attention to detail and quality
• Basic SQL proficiency
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
