• What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Ruby on Rails;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand API requirements and specifications;
• Ensure API performance, scalability, and security;
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code;
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions;
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance.

• Must haves

• 3+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails;
• Strong command of API design patterns and best practices in Rails;
• Solid understanding of HTTP protocols and JSON data structures;
• Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL);
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows;
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setup;
• In terms of working hours: The role will mostly follow the LATAM time zone, with a required 4-hour overlap with Colorado (MDT), for Europe-based candidates, a minimum of 2-hour overlap with MDT is required — though the more overlap, the better;
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

• Nice to haves

• Experience with background job processing (e.g. Sidekiq)
• Familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)
• Exposure to Docker or other container technologies
• Experience working with distributed teams
