What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain workflow automations using n8n;
- Build custom n8n nodes, integrations, and supporting services to extend platform capabilities;
- Develop and maintain APIs, services, and integrations with internal and external systems;
- Investigate and resolve workflow failures, platform issues, and integration-related incidents;
- Collaborate with platform engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver automation solutions;
- Contribute to platform reliability through monitoring, debugging, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Support the onboarding of new users and use cases to accelerate adoption of the n8n platform;
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to best practices for automation, integration, and software development;
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with engineering standards.
Must haves
- +4 years of experience developing modern web applications with exposure to both frontend and backend technologies;
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with JavaScript/TypeScript serving as the primary development languages;
- Proficiency in Python;
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, API development, and distributed systems;
- Experience designing, building, and integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services;
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in production environments;
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative engineering environments;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to haves
- Prior experience working with n8n;
- Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Workato, or Make;
- Experience building AI-powered or LLM-driven workflows and integrations;
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native infrastructure;
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, including database troubleshooting and optimization;
- Experience contributing to open-source projects;
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and integration patterns.
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain workflow automations and custom integrations on a self-hosted n8n platform, extending its capabilities through custom nodes, APIs, and supporting services. You will work primarily in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with platform engineers and business stakeholders to drive automation adoption across the organization. Experience with n8n or comparable workflow automation platforms is a strong plus.
