About the role

We are looking for a Shopify eCommerce Specialist to own a multi-market headless Shopify Plus setup, from product setup to promos and automation.

The mandatory requirements are 2–5 years of hands-on headless Shopify experience, deep Shopify Admin knowledge, CRO and A/B testing, Shopify Flow and AI tools, and strong English communication skills.

What you will do

  • Be our Headless + Shopify expert across all markets (#1 priority).
  • Own Shopify Admin across all four stores: product and SKU setup and updates, pricing updates, content updates, and app configuration.
  • Be the internal front door for Shopify — the person everyone asks, and the person who knows the answer.
  • Own discount and promo-code creation and support; report on redemptions and performance.
  • Run the operational side of seasonal promo launches (BFCM, Mother's Day, Back to School).
  • Stay current on Headless relevant Shopify releases, Plus features, and Markets capabilities, and bring us the ones worth adopting.
  • Partner with the eComm team on optimizing reviews for CVR — display, collection, syndication across markets.
  • Support checkout optimization work: Shopify Checkout Extensibility, upsells, payment methods, friction reduction.
  • Help ship, monitor, and QA A/B tests on the storefront.
  • Work with engineers to build product, SKU, variant, and metafield structures that scale across markets and product lines rather than needing rework at every launch.
  • Flag where platform configuration is creating engineering debt, and vice versa.
  • Identify manual work that shouldn't be manual, and build the automation to remove it. Shopify Flow for order and fraud monitoring, plus anything else that's getting done by hand twice.
  • Turn one-off tasks into documented, repeatable processes.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, ideally in Amplitude, so the team can see promo performance, funnel health, and product-level trends without asking.
  • Report on what shipped and what it did.
  • Support new product launches on the merchandising and setup side.
  • Assist with QA across launches, promos, and site changes.
  • Help project manage key eComm pod projects and tickets, especially promotional events, marketing tests, and product launches.

Must haves

  • 2–5 years of hands-on Headless + Shopify experience.
  • Real depth in Shopify Admin — not just "I've used it," but knowing where the limits are and how to work around them.
  • Exposure to CRO and experimentation; comfortable reading test results and site analytics.
  • Low ego, high ownership: you're happy doing the not-so-glamorous work well, and even happier building the automation that makes it disappear.
  • Data-driven and highly organized.
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal — much of this job is coordinating across teams in Slack and Linear.
  • A systems builder: you like turning one-off tasks into checklists, processes, and automations that scale.
  • Comfortable with AI tools like Claude and Shopify Sidekick, and automation with Shopify Flow.

Nice to haves

  • Shopify Plus, Shopify Markets, or multi-store experience is a big plus.
  • Experience building reports or dashboards (Amplitude, GA4, or similar) is a plus.

Perks

  • Growth without limits: build your skills through mentorship, internal TechTalks, challenging projects, and a dedicated annual learning budget
  • Competitive compensation: get recognition that reflects your skills and impact, with regular performance and compensation reviews
  • Flexibility: work 100% remotely with flexible hours that support focus, autonomy, and a healthy work rhythm

FAQ

Have any questions?

What is the work format and schedule?

We are a remote-first company, so all our positions are remote. Schedules are flexible, but the main requirement is to have an overlap with your client’s schedule to ensure smooth collaboration. Specific details depend on the project and are discussed during the interview process.

What level of English is required?

We look for Upper-Intermediate (B2) proficiency or higher. Since you will be collaborating with international teams and global clients (including Fortune 500 companies), English is a part of your daily work.

Does AgileEngine provide work equipment?

It depends on your location. We provide equipment in Ukraine, Poland, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Portugal, Spain, and India. In the USA, equipment is usually provided by the client; otherwise, you will be expected to use your own setup.

What opportunities for professional growth do you offer?

We support continuous growth through personalized development paths tailored to each expert. Also, you can expect:

  • An annual learning and development budget
  • Internal workshops, tech talks, and mentorship programs
  • Opportunities to switch projects or grow into new roles over time

What does a typical team look like, and what tools do you use?

Teams vary by project, but you’ll usually work with a mix of experts across different fields, along with a delivery or project manager who supports collaboration and onboarding.

For day-to-day work, teams commonly use tools like Jira and Google Workspace, along with communication platforms such as Google Chat. Depending on the client, you may also work with Slack, Confluence, Notion, or similar tools.
