About the role

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Full Stack Engineer to build and scale core capabilities of an enterprise DEX platform trusted by large enterprise customers, working across C#/.NET on the backend and React with TypeScript on the frontend. You will design APIs, build high-availability database systems, deliver accessible and performant user interfaces, and mentor junior engineers across both disciplines. The role expects active use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot as part of the daily engineering workflow.

What you will do

  • Build, enhance, and scale core platform capabilities in C#/.NET;
  • Define architecture, design, and develop new backend features and services;
  • Design and implement common APIs following architecture guidelines and best practices;
  • Design and build high-availability, high-quality database systems;
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability using modern tooling and techniques;
  • Monitor core platform performance and proactively propose improvements;
  • Ensure backend solutions are secure, stable, scalable, and efficient;
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces using React and TypeScript;
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs into production-ready implementation;
  • Integrate front-end applications with REST/GraphQL APIs, collaborating on API contract design;
  • Maintain front-end quality through testing, reviews, and best practices;
  • Work independently on solutions and be accountable for time and quality commitments;
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers across backend and front-end disciplines;
  • Act as an advisor to product owners on technical feasibility and delivery estimates;
  • Communicate with customers to analyze and resolve product defects or support major implementations;
  • Stay up to date with developments across cloud, backend, front-end, and AI-assisted engineering.

Must haves

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience;
  • Strong expertise in .NET (C#) and SQL, with a focus on backend/API development;
  • Commercial experience with modern UI frameworks, such as React, Angular, and VueJs;
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI developer tools;
  • Solid knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+);
  • AI-empowered mindset: proven experience optimizing enterprise-level solutions with AI-assisted engineering;
  • Experience designing and consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs;
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, and/or UI);
  • Strong understanding of Clean Code, SOLID principles, and design patterns;
  • Experience working on distributed, cloud-based systems;
  • Excellent debugging skills and strong root-cause analysis capabilities;
  • Understanding of secure coding principles and best practices;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Experience with cloud native technologies;
  • Experience delivering containerized solutions (Docker).

Nice to haves

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Experience with UI component libraries (such as MUI Base, MUI Core, Radix UI, etc.);
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG);
  • Experience with observability platforms (e.g. DataDog) and structured logging;
  • Exposure to CI/CD tooling such as Kustomize, ArgoCD;
  • C++ language experience is a plus.

FAQ

Have any questions?

What is the work format and schedule?

We are a remote-first company, so all our positions are remote. Schedules are flexible, but the main requirement is to have an overlap with your client’s schedule to ensure smooth collaboration. Specific details depend on the project and are discussed during the interview process.

What level of English is required?

We look for Upper-Intermediate (B2) proficiency or higher. Since you will be collaborating with international teams and global clients (including Fortune 500 companies), English is a part of your daily work.

Does AgileEngine provide work equipment?

It depends on your location. We provide equipment in Ukraine, Poland, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Portugal, Spain, and India. In the USA, equipment is usually provided by the client; otherwise, you will be expected to use your own setup.

What opportunities for professional growth do you offer?

We support continuous growth through personalized development paths tailored to each expert. Also, you can expect:

  • An annual learning and development budget
  • Internal workshops, tech talks, and mentorship programs
  • Opportunities to switch projects or grow into new roles over time

What does a typical team look like, and what tools do you use?

Teams vary by project, but you’ll usually work with a mix of experts across different fields, along with a delivery or project manager who supports collaboration and onboarding.

For day-to-day work, teams commonly use tools like Jira and Google Workspace, along with communication platforms such as Google Chat. Depending on the client, you may also work with Slack, Confluence, Notion, or similar tools.
