About the role
We are looking for a Mid-level Front-End Engineer to build and improve user interfaces for a cloud workload and data mobility SaaS platform.
The mandatory requirements are 3+ years of hands-on front-end development with HTML and CSS, strong unit testing practices for JavaScript and front-end frameworks, solid React experience, experience implementing and consuming REST APIs, and an upper-intermediate English level.
Must haves
- 3+ years hands-on with front-end web technologies, with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and the HTTP request-response cycle.
- Solid hands-on experience with React.
- Experience implementing and consuming REST APIs.
- Best practices in unit testing for JavaScript and front-end frameworks.
- Working knowledge of the software product development lifecycle, including design and feedback iterations with Figma, wireframes and mockups.
- Strong programming and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational skills; able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Clear verbal and written communication with internal employees and external customers.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to haves
- Linux/Windows installation and configuration, including networking and storage setup.
- Practical experience as a software developer with AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift and/or VMware vSphere.
- PostgreSQL.
- Consuming REST APIs from Spring Framework.
- Jira, GitHub and Gerrit.
What you will do
- Iterate on front-end improvements.
- Work with the UI/UX team and product management to design new features and improve existing ones.
- Turn mockups and designs into front-end code.
- Integrate the user interface with REST APIs, both internal and 3rd party.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Work with quality engineering and take part in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Work directly with product management, product engineers, quality engineers and DevOps engineers on scalable, enterprise-class SaaS applications for the cloud.

What is the work format and schedule?
We are a remote-first company, so all our positions are remote. Schedules are flexible, but the main requirement is to have an overlap with your client’s schedule to ensure smooth collaboration. Specific details depend on the project and are discussed during the interview process.
What level of English is required?
We look for Upper-Intermediate (B2) proficiency or higher. Since you will be collaborating with international teams and global clients (including Fortune 500 companies), English is a part of your daily work.
Does AgileEngine provide work equipment?
It depends on your location. We provide equipment in Ukraine, Poland, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Portugal, Spain, and India. In the USA, equipment is usually provided by the client; otherwise, you will be expected to use your own setup.

What does a typical team look like, and what tools do you use?

For day-to-day work, teams commonly use tools like Jira and Google Workspace, along with communication platforms such as Google Chat. Depending on the client, you may also work with Slack, Confluence, Notion, or similar tools.
