About the role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build and maintain features in a large, modern Angular application, with opportunities to contribute to backend work.

The mandatory requirements are 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong modern Angular experience, solid understanding of frontend architecture, practical knowledge of web accessibility, comfort with AI-assisted development tools, and strong English communication skills with significant US time-zone overlap.

Must haves

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong Angular experience, specifically modern Angular rather than AngularJS.
  • Strong frontend engineering skills and experience working on production web applications.
  • Solid understanding of frontend architecture and maintainable code.
  • Basic, practical understanding of web accessibility.
  • Experience working effectively in a collaborative engineering team.
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Ability to work with significant overlap with US time zones.

Nice to haves

  • Strong hands-on accessibility experience, including accessibility testing and remediation.
  • Experience with Angular Material or similar UI component libraries.
  • Experience with frontend build, bundling, or related tooling.
  • Experience with PHP/Laravel or Python.
  • Experience working with GCP.
  • Experience with AI-native / agentic software development workflows.
  • SaaS or EdTech experience.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain features in a large modern Angular application.
  • Contribute to frontend architecture and technical decisions.
  • Work with UX and product teams to turn requirements into well-designed, accessible features.
  • Contribute to build, bundling, and frontend development workflows.
  • Follow accessibility best practices and participate in accessibility reviews.
  • Contribute to backend work when needed, working with the existing engineering team.
  • Participate in code reviews and Packback's AI-assisted development workflow.
  • Work with AI development tools, primarily Claude.
  • Collaborate with engineers across multiple product initiatives.

What is the work format and schedule?

We are a remote-first company, so all our positions are remote. Schedules are flexible, but the main requirement is to have an overlap with your client’s schedule to ensure smooth collaboration. Specific details depend on the project and are discussed during the interview process.

What level of English is required?

We look for Upper-Intermediate (B2) proficiency or higher. Since you will be collaborating with international teams and global clients (including Fortune 500 companies), English is a part of your daily work.

Does AgileEngine provide work equipment?

It depends on your location. We provide equipment in Ukraine, Poland, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Portugal, Spain, and India. In the USA, equipment is usually provided by the client; otherwise, you will be expected to use your own setup.
