About the role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to help build an E2E test automation suite from the ground up for a B2B procurement software platform. You will write, maintain, and extend automated tests using Playwright and JavaScript following the team’s established framework and standards, grow coverage of critical user flows, investigate test failures, and keep CI/CD pipelines green. The role works alongside a Senior AQA in a collaborative, ownership-driven quality engineering environment.

What you will do

  • Write, maintain, and extend automated E2E tests using Playwright and JavaScript following the team’s established framework and standards.
  • Grow coverage of critical user flows and regression scenarios.
  • Investigate test failures, distinguish real bugs from flakiness, and keep the suite stable.
  • Log clear, reproducible defects and collaborate with developers to get them resolved.
  • Contribute to CI/CD test runs and help keep pipelines green.
  • Participate in test planning, reviews, and continuous improvement of QA practices.

Must haves

  • 3+ years in QA with solid, hands-on automation experience.
  • Practical experience with Playwright and JavaScript for E2E web testing.
  • Good understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and the testing pyramid.
  • Comfortable with Git and running and maintaining tests in a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Understanding of web fundamentals, including DOM, HTTP, and REST APIs.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable, with a strong ownership mindset.
  • Upper-intermediate English level.

Nice to haves

  • Familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, Svelte, and/or Next.js.
  • Some API test automation experience.
  • Exposure to B2B or enterprise SaaS products.

What is the work format and schedule?

We are a remote-first company, so all our positions are remote. Schedules are flexible, but the main requirement is to have an overlap with your client’s schedule to ensure smooth collaboration. Specific details depend on the project and are discussed during the interview process.

What level of English is required?

We look for Upper-Intermediate (B2) proficiency or higher. Since you will be collaborating with international teams and global clients (including Fortune 500 companies), English is a part of your daily work.

Does AgileEngine provide work equipment?

It depends on your location. We provide equipment in Ukraine, Poland, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Portugal, Spain, and India. In the USA, equipment is usually provided by the client; otherwise, you will be expected to use your own setup.
