About the role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to diagnose and resolve production issues for a high-traffic hiring events product.

The mandatory requirements are 4+ years of software engineering experience, Spring Boot, Django, experience with Dagster, data lakes, or Amazon Athena, and an upper-intermediate English level.

Must haves

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Java/Spring Boot as the primary skill set, first priority.
  • Django/Python as a secondary skill set, second priority.
  • React.
  • Kafka.
  • GraphQL.
  • SQL or MongoDB.
  • Build and deployment experience.
  • Senior-level engineer able to ramp up quickly and assume ownership across multiple projects.
  • High level of ownership and autonomy.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
  • Upper-intermediate English level.

Nice to haves

  • Product Manager experience working with GTM teams and engineers to help with prioritization.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Windsurf).
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Initiative and ownership, taking tasks forward (including merging and deploying code) without requiring close hand-holding.
  • Clear and concise communication. Comfort handling ambiguity.
  • Prioritization and strategic thinking.
  • Using data to troubleshoot production issues.

What you will do

  • Analyze and resolve production issues, with particular focus on in-progress hiring events.
  • Partner closely with client-facing teams to triage and address support tickets.
  • Ensure issues are resolved promptly to meet established SLAs.
  • Monitor production systems and respond swiftly to alerts or performance degradation ("going red").
  • Support architecture changes and system integrations that may impact hiring events.
  • Maintain and update event logic in response to changes in dependencies and underlying systems.
  • Support and onboard additional team members as further roles are filled, with Lead/Senior-level hires prioritized first to enable this.

Have any questions?

What is the work format and schedule?

We are a remote-first company, so all our positions are remote. Schedules are flexible, but the main requirement is to have an overlap with your client’s schedule to ensure smooth collaboration. Specific details depend on the project and are discussed during the interview process.

What level of English is required?

We look for Upper-Intermediate (B2) proficiency or higher. Since you will be collaborating with international teams and global clients (including Fortune 500 companies), English is a part of your daily work.

Does AgileEngine provide work equipment?

It depends on your location. We provide equipment in Ukraine, Poland, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Portugal, Spain, and India. In the USA, equipment is usually provided by the client; otherwise, you will be expected to use your own setup.
